Is There A Way To Get New Mii Characters For The Wii???

I know that back when the Wii had online support from Nintendo they had a channel or something where you could import different Mii`s to your console, but now that the online options for the Wii are pretty much dead is there another way to get some different Mii characters? Aside from creating them yourself of course...

Import/export from Wii Mote storage if I remember

i.e. export Mii from Wii to Wii Mote take to friends Wii export your Mii from your Wii Mote to your friends Wii, import your friends Mii from there Wii to your Wii Mote, take it home and import that Mii from your Wii mote to your Wii, Mii's from both consoles will then be on both consoles
