Default New version of ePSXe - ePSXe v.1.9.25

New version of ePSXe - ePSXe v.1.9.25 for windows and linux.

    The changes are:
    - Added HLE bios support (an official PS1 is recommend yet). From this version ePSXe can run games without an official PS1 bios.
VERY IMPORTANT: Savestates done with a official PS1 bios are NOT compatible with savestates done with ePSXe HLE bios (Besides it uses a different namespace).
    - Fixed multi-bin format in Windows version (redump format). Now it supports the games saved in multiple bins files + cue file directly.
    - Better SBI subchannel support (for example in Medievil) and fixed SBI in games with ECM format. Added SBI support in MDS/MDF format.
    - Added support to save memcards by game. Enabling this option it will create 2 memcards by everygame in memcards/games/ folder, using the serial of the game. In multidisc games, it will share the same memcards by all of discs
    - Fixes to the CD-Rom decoder and the core which made almost 20 more games playable or working better like. For example this fixed: Arcade Party Pak: Rampage now works, Crash Bash: Pause menu now works, Final Fantasy V, Junclassic C.C. & Rope club, Kamen Rider v3, Minakatakudou Toujyou, NHL Face Off 2001, Nishijin Pachinko Tengoku Vol.3, Omizu no Hanamichi, Sentient, Simple 1500 Series Vol.006 - The Hanafuda [Rerelease], Standby Say You, Tombi, Tombi 2, Twins Story - Kimi ni Tsutaetakute, Vanark: Pause menu now works, Worms Armageddon, Yuukyuu no Eden - The Eternal Eden, Yeh Yeh Tennis
    - New experimental dmachaincore that maybe can fix some graphic glitches in some games like Tomb Raider Chronicles or Metal Gear Solid. Usage execute epsxe.exe -dmachaincore

    Regards,
    ePSXe Team.

It will also be avaliable in the PSX Datacenter during the day.

Has some nice extra features this time round

I do like the memcard thing, (might make Suikoden to Suikoden II and other games that follow on using saves (Arc the Lad ect...) a little more of a faff on but asides from that it's cool)

I kinda like the separate save states for HLE bios and real bios (never a good idea to use save states when changing settings anyway, well because the emulators state is also saved not just the game data, never a good idea to use save states exclusively anyway)

Fixes well doh not going to say fixes suck but not as cool as the extra features

I just downloaded it today. There may be fixes only a developer can see, but the only two extra features is a fake Bios and a new design. And with people who actually emulate the right way, using a REAL Bios, all they have is a new design on the front cover of ePSXe. It's practically the same thing with an extra paint, a new number, and very few tiny fixes and features that only a developer would notice.

seems theres one minor problem with this new version: AVG detects it as an unknown threat with the only available option being removing it then restarting the computer.

if thats a false negative as is typical of emulators/roms/etc. then its a bad one.

edit: uh, nevermind. seems avg failed its auto update (hate it when antivirus does that). i just forced it to update and rescanned and no threat found.

If you don't count the 20 games fixed...

note to anyone else who sees this thread: if you use AVG antivirus you may have to set this emulator as an exception if it pops up something about an unknown threat.
