Default Street fighter III roms not working in final burn alpha

The SF roms I have work on older versions of mame but when I try to load them in FBA it gives me a list of files missing. Seems like it has something to do with the new version of mame.

These files are floating around but all the threads with links are dead

The structure of FBAs CPS3 roms is different than in mame, the CHD content is extracted and put in the rom.zip itself, Don't ask me how thats just from what I read in the FBA forums.

If you want the latest best updated set grab it here,

Edit: Forgot to say that FBA uses drivers and rom structure from MAME so its no surprise that some MAME games run in FBA.

THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

The sf3 roms on here do not work with fba, they do work with versions of mame.

The SF3 roms here are for mame not FBA, FBA uses its own CPS3 roms so the MAME roms will not work in FBA, you will have to grab the set I linked you to in order to play SF3 in FBA.

Thanks, I guess I'll just use these if they work on fba. I know some versions of mame required you to make a folder the same name as the rom and put the chd in there and keep the zip as it is.

I'm using kawaks to do some sprite ripping only thing is you cant move the camera to get the whole stage. I havent figured out how they get the whole stages like this: Some use artmoney to move the camera but it seems a bit too complex

Thats what I said :p although I did assume they would work at the start as cps2 roms did

    Whoops sorry

Glad it was not used on more games since the CPS system was pretty much junk, because once that battery dies you are pardon my french, screwed

MAME has both the CPS3 Cartridge rom and CD CHD separate,
FBA combines them both into a single rom , why they are incompatible with each other.
