MAME won't play games that worked fine before.

This problem started a while ago, and it's taken a while for me to swallow my pride and come to this forum for answers. Originally, the emulator was refusing to run games that I was able to run before, despite me not having changed versions for either the emulator or the roms at that time. Since then, I've updated MAME twice, the second of which was just a few days ago, and downloaded replacements for the ROMs that didn't work from this site. This seems to have worked for most of them, but there are still exceptions, the biggest example of which seems to be CPS2 games. Are some of the ROMs in this site's MAME section outdated, or am I doing something wrong here?

That's helped a lot, but it's only gotten me so far. It's told me what .bin files are missing, but I have no idea where I'd find those or where I'd put them if I did find them.

At a guess you are missing the Q-Sounds rom used by CPS2 (Capcom System 2) games, you can get that at http://www.emuparadise.me/M.A.M.E._-...Q-Sound/164687

Stick that in the Roms folder with every other rom

P.S. just list what is missing and the folders it looks for them in (folders just = zip files really)
