Default Can't play games on MAME.

Need help with MAME. I can only play Simpsons Arcade on it. If I try to play anything else, it says, "The selected game is missing one or more ROMs or CHDs". What do I do?

A lot of arcade roms released were imperfect dumps, and as MAME is updated it requires better rips of the same games it used to play fine (this is done on purpose AFAIK). For example, if a rom worked on say v3 of the emulator it will likely only work on that and maybe a few others.

I've never figured out how to tell exactly what version you need for each rom (maybe someone else here does?), so what I usually do is look for MAME packages that include sets of roms, since usually whoever releases the pack makes sure the roms they pack with it will work. Google and torrents are your friend here.

"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

Mame updates there rom set with every update of the main program

For example if you are downloading roms from our main server make sure you are using version 0.152 of Mame I think it is

Another thing that I strongly recommend is the use of rom auditing that will tell you exactly what is missing either through clrmamepro or directly through Mame engines such as MAMEUI (32bit or 64bit, the 32bit versions tend to be a bit more stable, not sure why that is though) that you can just right click on a rom and hit the Audit option then it should come up with a report and if any roms or chd's are missing it will tell you what rom file is missing and the zip folder it looks for the rom in or the chd and it's folder

You can get MAMEUI from http://www.progettosnaps.net/mameui/ both new and older version and both 32bit and 64bit variations
