Final Fantasy IV black screen

So, I have been playing Final Fantasy IV and it was running great but after I got the Enterprise and after the cut-seen with Kain and I had control the screen was completely black except for the Enterprise. I have tried closing the emulator and then restarting it, and when that did not work I looked over the game fixes and tried game fix 0x0002 and that did not work. Any ideas on how I can fix this? I am running ePSXe 1.9.0 and the video plug is I am using is Pete's D3D Driver 1.77 I kept the recommended config except for screen rez.

You can try switching to soft rendering (I forgot the hot key to do that though F7 maybe, it's one of the F keys just not F5 that is for your controllers)

If you change the res for that though set the stretching to HQx3 for the best visuals

I can't do any testing on my end at the moment so can only offer part of what I would of tested
