just after only 48 hours of private beta test, OMEGA for the Gateway is now public. Gateway 3ds official team announcing that the firmware 2.1 "OMEGA" is officially out today on gateway 3ds.
The latest gateway 2.1 omega firmware is available to download from here http://www.gateway-3ds.com/.

I view the news from gateway 3ds usa site: , where i got my gateway 3ds, shipping was free and quick, will use it to play my pokemon X\Y games soon, haha.

Booo, still limited to the old firmware exploit. It's nice and all that it has multi-rom support, but it's pretty pointless when 99% of the DS owners out there can't buy the card.

Yeah i kept my hardware up to date yet still use my DS flash kits :/

Not had any flash kit blocking updates for a while either now, but the Gateways only work on very old firmware

Still it is nice to know they are showing progress on other things, at the moment I don't recommend this kit to anyone unless they update it to run on the latest firmware otherwise you will be missing out on features for the 3DS by keeping it stuck on older firmware, that and you need to be on certain firmware to use the Gateway that may be difficult to get your system to sit on and any slip ups on updates just blocks the kit with no way of going back currently known

Ok, I didn't care about the announcement of E-shop game support, as I assumed it simply meant you could access the E-shop. But E-shop games are apparently being dumped now, that's awesome!
