Persona 3 FES undub patch 1.01 "load disc" error

I've gotten 6 hours in Persona 3's Undub Remix by fei and I of course ran into the issue where the gymnasium part won't load. Also, I hated the remix songs. SO i exited out and followed step by step on how to fix it. I first changed it to the original music. I checked that ISO first, and it worked perfectly. Then I moved my file to the location of the 1.01 patch and ran the .bat and again, it made my new ISO just like it said it would. However, when I booted up that iSO in PCSX2 it went straight to "please insert PS2 disc."

I am using the latest version of PCSX2 (1.2.1 i believe). Since the game previously was working fine at around 60fps, I don't believe my laptop specs are required to solve this.

So, did anyone else get the "please load disc" after the PS2 logo appears? If so, did you ever get it to work?

Is the patch designed to go over a music replaced copy as that could be the issue

try patching before replacing the music, i.e. patch it before applying any other patches, also check any read me docs and see what original file/disc image it wants to patch

patching a disc image that is not what the patch wants will indeed corrupt the game rather than fix whatever the patch fixes, it may also need the original disc image of Persona 3 remix rather than a 1.00 undub patched copy

The load disc error will only pop out if you trying load a bad iso, or rather an incomplete one.

Also to make sure you have a working iso with original sound, you need to have "fei-p3fundub.iso", and two separate patches "fei-p3fundub.oribgm.patch"(not from 1.01) and 1.01 patch for bugfixes:
- put "fei-p3fundub.iso" in "fei-p3fundub.oribgm.patch" folder
- run the .bat file and it should generate "fei-p3fundub.oribgm.iso"
- next, use "runme.oribgm1.01.bat" on that "fei-p3fundub.oribgm.iso"
- and you should have working 1.01 .iso after that.

Just make sure to use the right files, and .iso
