360 Controller issues

I bought a new third party pc 360 controller it works in the games for the most part except for the d pad the only button that works is the left can someone tell me how to fix this thing I dont want to buy another one.

Sounds like it may be defective. Can you return it?

What games? I'm guessing it's all set it up properly? You can try it with epsxe and test it out in digital mode. Or maybe even test it with Xpadder and assign keyboard buttons to it like A,S,W,D for movement in an fps or something. That way if that works you know the controller's fine and it would be a driver or software/game issue.

Return your faulty junk

Buy a PS2 to USB converter instead cheaper and works with all the buttons correctly (They work with PSX pads also if you don't have a PS2 pad, but I'm sure you have both)

360 pads have an issue when used with a PC if you try to use both the lower triggers together, for example a soft reset in Playstation games, or using accelerate and break in some games, basically the lower triggers conflict with each other.

I had a similar issue. I kept having control issues in almost every emulator. I switched to a Logitech F310 and it's worked flawlessly.
