My Consoles:
PS1 Chipped
PS2 Chipped w/Matrix Infinity 1.99
PS3 CFW Rogero 4.55
PSP CFW 6.60 Pro-B 10
Xbox Softmodded
Xbox 360 RGH
WII Softmodded
Everdrive 64 linked above, though requires a cic chip, but you can get them pre installed at an extra cost
http://www.ed64plus.com/ is another good one but does not require any extra chips but does use a retail game with that chip inside it
NEO N64 Myth is another semi info here it's a GBA flash kit inside a N64 pass through type thing (wish I had a better link for that one :/) that also uses a retail cart instead of a CIC chip install
P.S. the price of Retro flash kits are silly around $100 to $200
Edit better link for the Neo Flash one here

It's a chip that is inside retail N64 games
Don't see why you would need to know the exacts you just require one, all the flash kits use them either via a retail cart pluged into the flash kit or like this one soldered directing into it
As the ED64 is out of stock at the world wide sales sites then the Everdrive 64 is the cheaper option that is still going to be around the $130 mark, it's base price is $99 but you will want a cic chip and a shell for it
Everdrives notice for the CIC chip
IMPORTANT: This cartridge will not work without a CIC chip. User should either buy a cartridge with a CIC chip preinstalled, or obtain a CIC chip from an original N64 cartridge and solder it in manually. CIC-6102 should be used for NTSC systems and CIC-7101 should be used for PAL systems. Do not buy cart with CIC-6102 for PAL system in case if CIC-7101 is out of stock!
CIC setup:
CIC-7101 + PAL N64 = OK
CIC-6102 + NTSC N64 = OK
CIC-7101 + NTSC N64 = black screen
CIC-6102 + PAL N64 = black screen
The flash cart is region free but you do still require the correct CIC chip for your region console
The CIC boot chip is just part the N64 lockout system

The ed64plus is a clone of the KRIKzz ED64. It is made with cheap parts and isn't supported by any updates KRIKzz releases.
There's also a 64drive, a high quality flash cart, but expensive. I have an ED64, it is cheaper, and IMO, just as good as the 64drive.
It depends on the region of your N64. Is it NTSC or PAL?
99.9% compat, somehow does not calculate the .1% is 2 games (or more if you are counting regions) so there has to be at least 2000 games
according to the notes that's 2 games, but one has a fix??
I will presume this effects all flash kits due to the reasons these two cause issuesOf special note is the x105 CIC, which contains
additional functionality. It can accept
a “challenge” request and provide a magic
“response” value to the software running
on the N64, if so required.
Jet Force Gemini was the first title to
utilize this. In true Rareware style, the
game would still run on non-x105 CICs,
but it would crash randomly (on purpose)
and disallow the player from jumping or
shooting.
Banjo Tooie, another Rare title, took the
idea further. All the game assets were encrypted,
and during runtime the responses
from the CIC challenges were used to
decrypt them. This was not defeated until
recently.
