I replace laser for ps2 and try on it and doing it too
It can be normal ? why is doing to me on ps2 too
Before on old ps2 laser is not doing to me :/

I may be the discs at fault by now, scratches ect so the readability is slower than it was...

ISObuster can scan for readability though it may error out on STR and XA files anyway because of the special headers used for those files, it's the same for every PSX CD that used XA sound files/containers and STR files and containers and it is FMV that the problems are in i.e. STR files

For another games is not doing to me this twitching is doing to me only on two games
On Resident Evil 2 and Alien Ressurection
Why ? I´m burning on minimal speed (7x) on Verbatim CD-R with iso from the main site and redump set

If it is not your PS2/PSX drive and it is not the CD-R's then it may be the burning hardware.

Burn speed has no effect at all as long as you use the slowest possible for your hardware, for me with this laptop it is 10x for CD's for other machines that may be higher or lower, but as long as it is the slowest speed for that hardware is used you are going to get the best performance CD-R out of that.

Simply do a burn on a friends machine and see if that helps, if it does then you may just need to replace your CD/DVD burning hardware

I have already ran through the possibilities

the higher percent issues are that something is preventing the discs from being read smoothly

The hardware reading the discs (aka PS2 or PSone) < I would guess at this as you have already stated that your PS2 read those same CD-R's fine before replacing the laser unit


You can either deal with it as it is only this one game and it's not even that noticeable it took me a few watches to see what you are talking about or you can fine tune the laser (P.S. don't touch the PS2 laser pots there are at least 2 pots one for DVD and one for CD)

Because you are very like to break the PS2, the PSone is put together better than the PS2, the PS2 is too easy to break.

The other reason is I have not given instructions on how to do that with the PS2 and without knowing what the best settings are and blindly changing pot values the drive will break also you don't even know what pot is for what it's all fail.

You can change the pot values with no power required in-fact best to do it while the machine is powered off

Not Sony no they suck, besides it should be optimized for retail pressed discs not burned discs that is a different value but Sony have even messed that up before I know my kid bro got a brand new PS2 and it would not read Dual Layer Retail discs and that's from a new untouched PS2

Hi I have some news I do a pot adjustment and I have it before on 703 I adjust it to 789 and still doing this problem
