Game Save and hex edit

I hex edit the gamesave wanting to add more gold in castelvania i change the value and save it.Transfer it back to the xbox load the game and cant load save game says it is damaged.I've searched online for how to do this says that the checksums have to match.But i dont know how to do this and it seems it can only be done on X360 saves.

Has anyone hex edit an xbox original game save and had it working?
Is there a rehash and resigning program that can work on the .dat file?
(The trainers not working trying to see if i can do this)
Or is there a way to get the trainer working with you game?

There are ton and tons of rehash tool but I wouldn't know if it can be done with Castlevania or not, P.S. the best version of that game is for the PSP that comes as an extra to the Castlevania X remake (the game before that one) I take it you are talking about Symphony of the Night


MODIO is a really very old tool for doing exactly that

Just go for something like Horizon or 360 rev

Trainers unless they are just save editors (some of those got named save trainers) only work with modded 360's so it's not something I know about as I never modded my 360

Some game saves may still fail like that Castlevania may be one of those games, if there are extra checks to what rehash and resign alter, best to play with rehash and resign with a save you know should work to get the hang of doing this

Actually i'm playing curse of darkness i'm trying to add more gold to the xbox original game save because the trainers dont work with the game

I don't think they made anything that could edit that game it does as you have stated become corrupt after editing I have not looked recently though.

Had a look, no there is still no save hacking tools unless it has been added to one of the bigger tools like Horizon, but even if they had I bet you would have to pay to use that feature, but I am going with they haven't cracked the saves for that one
