.exe playable but not downloadable possible?

SMF stands for Super Mario Flash


You can look up about SMF or SMF 2 or both on Google search engine or any other search engine or both.


Is it possible for a .exe file to be playable without being downloaded, downloadable etc. just like SMF and also SMF 2 are playable without being downloaded, downloadable etc. and if so how?

The short answer:

Nope

The long answer:

SMF are flash programs not PC exe's

Flash is an engine that most OS's support so the same SMF can be ran on Mac, Linux, Mobile Phones & anything else that can use flash as it is on a PC

There are no individual versions, it's Flash player that is different and those games are not ran direct from the internet as such, they are downloaded and ran through your local copy of Flash player, we have emulators like that on the main site as well, or we used to not looked in a while but I am guessing they use Java instead of Flash, but the same thing applies

Java needs to be installed run java apps (You can call that streaming if you like)
Shockwave Flash (Flash Player) needs to be installed to play Flash apps (You can call that streaming if you like)
There is no exe players though to play .exe apps

Streaming:

This downloads content to your PC, though this may only be in parts, lagging is usually caused by data loss and so you have to wait for the cache to fill up this is local data that is downloaded as it goes.

Everything on the internet is downloaded to your PC in one way or another.
