Default Need help getting Iso for tales of symphonia?

Hello all, I'm new to the forums and with emulation stuff in general, so I guess it's inevitable for me to have some problems. Through the direct download option on the main site, I downloaded Tales of Symphonia for the gamecube and the dolphin emulator subsequently. The dolphin emulator states that I require an iso file for the game to run, and when I went into the rar for the game in 7zip and discovered that there wasn't an Iso when I clicked on the "CD1" and "CD2" folders in sight and instead there was 20 .r files (e.g. rare-sos2.r01, rare-sos2.r02, etc.). I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world so in my confusion I searched the web a bit and found out that there was supposed to be an iso in these files, and so I double clicked rare-sos2.r01 and inside was rare-sos2.gcm and not an iso. I tried to rename the file and replace .gcm with .iso like some other sites said, but it just gave me an error that read "No such interface is supported". I'm sort of stuck right now, so any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. (Sorry if this post is grammatically incorrect, I'm still having trouble developing my english skills, as it isn't my first language.

1 extract the main file so you have CD1 and CD2 folders on your computer
2 extract r01 to the same folder to give you the gcm file (the rest of the r0X files will be read automatically)
3 rename the gcm to iso

You can't rename files when they are still compressed in some programs and you will get the "No such interface is supported" error message if you try 7-zip can only rename files in 7z files

Okay, I did all of that but now when I go to dolphin emulator it says that it's an invalid iso/gcm file, or not a gc/wii iso.

Before doing anything else what are your system specs you may not even have a machine that is capable of running Dolphin at a playable state anyway

Actually it sounds like it isn't unzipped/done properly. It's not going to say invalid file type if your computer isn't up to spec. Also Dolphin shouldn't have any problems reading gcm files either.

Can you post a pic of the files??
