philips and every single brand have bad discs as well as good discs (already said that)

Verbatims is what I would use but I make sure they are good ones, not the poor quality ones

DVD+R is what I recommend if your PS2 can read them, not all versions of the PS2 can, it is mostly the old bulky PS2's that can't and this is only because they had been released before the DVD+R media had been

DVD+R in general is a higher quality disc than any DVD-R (already said that as well)

try on another ps2 and not read. try another dvd and not read them. for me is
because they are recorded at x1 or x4

Slowest speed possible = best resulting burn

The speed itself depends on the hardware used for example for me that is 2.5x burning for DVD-R's and DVD+R's this works every time with good quality media, with poor media it will not work though in the target console but will read ok on a PC

I still say it is the media used

on the pc if I put the dvd, out of the game folders. the only thing left is to reformat and see if that fixes it. Always recorded in the same way. in some dvd ps2 browser I get in another dvd i get another image and insert ps1 or ps2 format disc

Not sure why you are posting, you are not taking in anything I have said, you just do your own thing and so far it has gotten you nothing because you are not looking at the thing that is the real problem.

The only thing to fix this is to make sure the media you are using is high quality, perhaps it's a language thing and you simply don't understand what I have said I don't know...

What discs does the Manufacturer I ISSM R02 go with

I hope that is not the same for both discs?

EDIT I am going to guess that the Verbatim's are Manufacturer I MCCRG20 that are also not very good for consoles, the high reflective service makes it hard for a lot of readers to see a valid disc, consoles are more picky than most CD/DVD readers and can not read those

P.S. have you made sure the disc image you are burning is ok first?

What do you recommend? Mount the game image with an emulator? Free download games right here and burn verbatim dvd 50 games and all went well. From one day to another walked no more. What brand of DVD you recommend? Sony?

No to check the disc image just use www.quicksfv.org with the sfv file from www.redump.org for the game you want to check

I still recommend Verbatim but with a Manufacturer ID of MCC 03RG20 or MKM 01RD30 or RITEKG03.... and a few others for DVD-R

Verbatim DVD-R Manufacturer I CMC MAG. AM3 are poor quality with everything

Just use the guide at Video Help and look for Console Reliability is Good

Or if you can use them then use DVD+R instead

You can't this is something that is not good about DVD media.

Video Help does offer package images though and sometimes include UPC/EAN Code: that should be on the packaging to help Identify the media before you buy it, the info is in the comments

e.g.

the UPC/EAN Code is something you should be able to find on the packaging though this will be different depending on how it is packed and the number of discs supplied

e.g. the UPC/EAN Code for a 50 disc spindle will be different to a 100 disc spindle of the same media

try some dvd+r's get a very small pack though or even a single one to test with
