Default [NES ROMs] How can I find out if a game is PAL-A or PAL-B?

    Hey there,
my question is posted in the thread title but I'll repeat it again: How can i find out if an NES game ROM is PAL-A or PAL-B? Are all PAL games with english language PAL-A?

    Thanks in advance!

EDIT: And what about NTSC-U and NTSC-J?

A B and other standards are determined via the hardware not the roms

PAL/PAL-E roms will work will all PAL hardware and display as the hardware sets it to display

Most PAL-E games have english in them though (E = Europe, roms are not listed by B/G/H/I/D/K video standards PAL M & PAL N are actually 60Hz video standards
    NTSC-U are all english (U = USA)
NTSC-J are all japanese (J =... I will let you guess)

    (E) = PAL Europe
    (U) = NTSC USA
    (J) = NTSC Japan

(JUE) = all three, there will be the odd one with other variants as well like (UE) or (JU) that will work on the region hardware included in the list and be in the correct language for the system generally unless they included a language menu

Hello and thank you very much for your answer!
So the only thing that is determined via the software is NTSC and PAL right? And are there 3 different types of NES consoles then (not counting the Famicom)? NTSC, PAL-A and PAL-B?

    Not even heard of PAL-A

    PAL-B I know of and PAL-G -H -I -D -K that are all 50Hz PAL variants, there are a couple 60Hz ones as well PAL-M -N

Most UK English systems have a PAL I/G switch on the old Arial or A/V cables PAL-B is not a British English standard anyway

Not that anything said in this post matters you are emulating
