Newbie needs help downloading first PS2 game

Hello! I'm trying to download Disgaea 1 and make it run on PCX2 1.0 but for some reason when I download the .iso the only thing it has is a .img file. Isn't a .img file almost the exact same thing as a .iso file or am i wrong and I need to convert it.

Edit: I've researched it and they are indeed the same thing but for some reason it tells me that the ISO path is not found.

img files are not iso files they

iso images in general are DVD images can be CD as well though but can only store data tracks

img and bin images are raw binary CD images only and would come with a cue or ccd files used to run by or burn with

The game in question is a DVD so I am guessing you have actually extracted the contents of the DVD image that will be an iso and the img file is not a disc image at all but a file that is part of the game

what exact files do you have for the game, full names please, or just a screen grab of the folder containing the file/s for the game

For extracting I use 7-zip instead of WinRAR you can change WinRAR to not auto extract iso file by removing the file association in the WinRAR settings (I do not remember exactly where that is someone may point that out for me though)

Okay these are all the files I have from the .rar of it http://imgur.com/6TsCzo0. I just right click and hit extract on 7zip and they should bring them all together into an .iso, or is it more complex than that? The files inside the Sound folder are Sndpak.pak and System is the .img file and Modirx.pak

Yeah I was correct that is not a disc image but it is the contents of a disc image. i.e. WinRAR is extracting the contents of the iso file

If you use 7-zip instead of WinRAR to extract with it will not extract the iso contents as well, but will give you the iso file instead of it's contents

Disgaea Hour of Darkness (USA) (En, Ja).iso is the disc image, but WinRAR extracted that giving the the files shown in the screen grab

the img in the Sound folder is a data file for the game and is part of the contents of the iso file

No to me it looks like you have an iso unless it was a folder you had open with 7-zip
