Default Android NES emulator to play Elite

I was wondering if any of you good people know of a NES emulator for Android which successfully runs Elite.

Most of them that I've tried, the graphics are messed up to the point that it's unplayable. John NES Lite comes close, however it's not quite right. I know the ROM file itself is fine, as exactly the same ROM works fine on the emulators I've tried on my PC.

I don't mind if it's one of the paid emulators, I'd rather just know that it works before paying for the emulator - this is the only game I'm having trouble with, so I'd be buying it just to play this game.

So far, emulators I've tried are:
    John NES Lite
    Nesoid
    NES-FC Lite
    NES.emu

I have tried messing about with video settings, but it hasn't changed anything.

Out of interest but have you tried lets say ZX Spectrum or Amstrad CPC maybe even c64 emulation instead, Elite is a 8bit computer game before it was a NES game if I remember correctly

I can't claim to emulate on my phone though I have a 3DS with a DS flash kit 32GB micro SD and PSP + soft mod + 2x32GB micro SD's in a Pro Duo adapter for my mobile gaming needs plus a PS Vita, think that covers me for most platforms on the go plus emulation on PSP and DS

    Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
    [Quest Packs Collection]
GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
[Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]
Please can all ESR users post your results here to help with the project and others wanting to use ESR

Elite was indeed on the likes of the C64, BBC Micro etc, it's just that the NES version is my personal favourite of them all.
