GT4 not playing (opl, usbutil, freemcboot)

Hello all , i'm new here and have the problem with GT4 it will start and let me create a save file for it on my MC but then will not load any more, i have it on a usb , installed with usbutil using Free mc boot on ps2 and opl, not sure what i'm doing wrong any help would be welcome. thanks in advance.

pop the memcard out and pop it back in

Thanks for the reply, i just tried that but it didn't change any thing , i tried popping it out and in at different times, the game freezes after the first cut scene just before game play then shows a blue and red GT logo and a small white clock/timer spinning fast, i have tried it when this is happening mostly am i doing it right ? or is there some thing else i should do ?

you only need to remove the card when it is verifying your saves, try without the memcard at all and only have the memcard in when you want to save/load
