Dreamcast and PS2 are about on par with each other as it Gamecube I wouldn't even say you can handle Dreamcast emulation though :/

Don't know what plugin you are talking about the plugins that are in 1.8.0 are available for 1.5.2 the only ones that are not are the hard coded CD plugin/s and the default sound driver that is not a recommended most the time but works much the same as the rest did that got hard coded into the older version from 1.7.0 they did break the disc swap in 1.8.0 the CD plugin was fixed for disc swaps, it was never a major issue as at the time all you done was use a Virtual CD drive as the swap worked for disc drives just not for disc images in 1.7.0.

Just sounds like you never had the older versions setup correctly to start with.

Okay, so answer me this.... how do I get Disc 2 to work? Doesn't seem to want to transfer over or start up what I did on Disc 1.

There's a couple of bad disc 2's out there try mine I've beaten the game with it so if there's still a problem then you know it's the emulator.

I downloaded mine from CoolRoms. Is that where yours is from? Do you know if CoolRoms' version works?

Have you ever played Omikron? I was thinking of downloading it since I'm a huge David Bowie fan and both he and his music appear in the game. Is it any good, if you have played it?

Never heard of it (and this isn't exactly the place to be asking ) General gaming or the hangout would be your best bet - more people will probably see it too.

I noticed in the link you have me according to Zaladane, that's it's all in one folder at 857mb. Do I really need to download both discs just to get to Disc 2?

I suppose I could upload just the 2nd disk, it may take a few as my net is bogged down right now but I'll edit this post for the link when I'm done.

    ok here it is

You do know you are better off just getting the GD-Rom dump for emulation anyway, nothing is down-sampled in the GD dump the CD-R version has the intro FMV down-sampled on Disc 1 and several in-game video's on Disc 2 down-sampled

CD-R versions or Mil-CD are made for real console users in mind, emulator users should really stick to the GD-rom dumps

Myself I am a real hardware user so the games I play are on CD-R in Mil-CD format, I will at some point do my own rip of Code Veronica for 99min CD-R [With less or no down-sampling] (even if I do own it for PS2 and GameCube anyway)

I can verify that Coolroms has mostly old sets for dreamcast with a mix of working and broken games most of the games have had much higher quality and working rips done since

Omikron is a great game but it is an aquired taste there is a 99min rip of this game that is high quality or as I stated before just get the GD-Rom dump for perfect quality, though I can't guarantee perfect emulation, there is a very good reason I like to use real hardware

If this is appropriate to ask, where/how does one get a GD-Rom dump. Not looking for anything flashy or complicated, makes my head hurt. Just a simple download of RECV Disc 2 so I can say I conquered it.

GD-Rom dumps are as easy as cdi files you run them the exact same way... though I have to admit I don't know where to download the GD-rom from but I could upload Disc 2 for you, it is a hefty 606MB compressed just for that single disc

I take it you want the NTSC-U copy

I have the NTSC-U version as well as the PAL-E copy and the 2 NTSC-J versions

also note GD-Roms are not region free so you do need NullDC setup to the correct region to work
