Unhappy PSP iso problems/ data currupted

Hello, I recently got a PSP for the first time. I was then lucky enugh to stumble upon PSP Pro Update for 6.60. I then came to emuparadise and got 20 different games. I loaded them into the ISO file I had made on my PSP and then added all of them to it. I used the PSP Pro Update software and was able to play all of the games.

I then got a larger memory card and transfered my save data and all of the games to the new card. still worked like a charm.

Now heres the problem. . . whenever I get a file for a new game (example: Final Fantasy 1) now from emuparadise and do the exact same process I keep getting a CURRUPTED DATA message from the iso. right now I have redownloaded some games three or more times and I am still getting this message.

can someone please try to help me?

Links please. It could simply be a different file format and therefore requiring a different mem stick location.

ok heres a list of the games that it was saying were currupted.

and the way that i transfered them was the same as before. download them to a specific file, open my 7-zip, connect my PSP to my laptop, use 7-zip to open up the .rar's, set destination to be PSP/ISO (not under the PSP tab but the PSP device, it calls it [H] drive but for simplicity im gonna call it PSP). go to the .rar in the Rar. click the iso, extract to PSP/ISO and wait for it to do its thing.

after I have done this I then press O and wait for it to load. then I go to the games down to the memory card and then accses it. it says CURRUPTED DATA and under those it has the games that I had downloaded before and they are still playable.

I got the program from ajknowsitall.com and it seems to still be working fine.

    sorry -.-;

EDIT: ok so now i can get it to work /""/(+-+)\""\
sorry for the inconvenience thanks zorlon, i guess trying to directly get the image from the rar was the problem. now (at least in the emulater havent tried for my psp yet) it is not showing as being currupted data. thanks everyone for having patiance with this noob.

P.S. yeah thats what i upgraded to, i got the dual produo memory stick and two 32G minis and am using that now as my mem stick. thought about getting two 64G but i thought that that would be a bit overkill.

The best way is to extract to your PC first with 7-zip

then hook the PSP up to your PC/Laptop via the USB cable and make sure the thing is in USB mode

then move or copy the ISO file

P.S. if you want a really big memstick my one is apx 60GB then you want a 2x MicroSD to memstick Pro Duo card then you can stick 2x 32GB Micro SD's into it works out a lot cheaper as well

P.P.S. what brand is the memstick you have now as not all of them can be used well in a PSP and have problems when you try and copy large files

P.P.P.S. Just grabbing FFIV for testing on my PSP plus it's a game I want on my PSP anyway

    EDIT:- Works just fine

Do not try and extract multi part files while they are inside another file

    1. extract the main rar with 7-zip (just use extract here from a right click instead of opening the file with 7-zip)
    2. right click on the first file of the multi part files (for the game I tested that was the *.rar file) and click extract here
    3. hook the PSP up in the usual way
    4. copy the extracted iso

Yeah, definitely make sure it is not your sdhc/ProDuo card's brand that's causing the problem. Trust me, I know all too well...using a no-brand name 32gb micro sdhc card with a no-brand name pro duo adapter = unreliable as sh*t! I mean sometimes it would copy ISOs over uncorrupted and work fine. Other times ISOs would copy over and SEEMINGLY work okay, at least up to a certain point very early in the game, then it would get permanently stuck on a loading screen. For example: I transferred the game, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together; it would start up correctly and I could get as far as choosing your tarot cards, after that the opening cut-scene should have played. Instead, I was greeted by an eternal black screen with the words loading on the bottom right afaik - I tried it many times and the same happened every time. I knew it was my no-brand card's fault because then I tried the ISO with a SanDisk branded 4gb ProDuo - It worked flawlessly (I could get past the choosing your tarot cards part). Further more, other times when I transferred an ISO, it would simply show up as corrupt (which I knew it wasn't since they worked fine with my branded card). Needless to say I learned my lesson. Please only buy officially supported brands to save yourself the hassle I went through.

Never had an issue with no-brand name pro duo adapter (there are no branded ones out there) and as it happens I use Samsung 32GB MicroSD's x 2 with mine but at the time and I'm betting not mach has changed there was only class 10 32GB microSD cards and no matter the brand they will be fast, a lot faster and a lot more reliable than Sony ProDuo Memsticks and SanDisk ProDuo Memsticks
