    Default USB Advance vs OPL

Trying to play Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 via USB on my PS2. So far its the only game that I want to play that's just not working for me. It's kind of depressing. Anyways, anyone had any luck with it? Or any suggestions, I'm REALLY late coming into the PS2 homebrew stuff. So I may have missed something really easy. And yes I know that I would more than likely be better off trying to play from some sort of HD Loader, but that's just not an option for me anytime soon. And I don't really see the justification behind it.

OPL will almost certainly work better, so make sure you have the latest version (0.9.1). Also, according to This list, it is not compatible with USB Advance.

Also the reason why people recommend loading it off of a Hard Drive is because it is more compatible, and because it has faster loading times (even faster than the original disk).
    My gear:

If you have an xbox you can do a lot more , create a new thread though for that

Only reason I said that is because I know that game was on xbox as well as PS2

Just so there is no confusion the faster load times off HDD does not include USB HDD's only bulky PS2 internal IDE HDD loading

Having a slim myself I run everything from ESR DVD+R's because that is the best way for that system (providing your drive works)

I do know that game runs perfect via ESR though

Only with drive strain the best media to use is DVD+R or DVD-R if it's an older PS2 model, original FAT, some of the newer FAT's are DVD+R compatible older ones only support DVD-R because there was no DVD+R hardware at the time

DVD-or+RW will just not work in most PS2 consoles very well if at all, you will do more harm than good with them
