I need help using PEC on FF7 in ePSXe!

I have downloaded FF7 [NTSC-U] from the main site because I missed playing it and have tried playing it, it works like a charm!
But I find materia tiresome to level up so I went and downloaded psx emulation cheater.
I have used PEC before so I know how to use it, first I select its plugin then choose the cheats I want then click "Send Cheats to Plugin."

The only problem I'm having is that, the cheats doesn't work on FF7‼
Can somebody help me?
I use the US & Canada cheats, I haven't tried the other sections yet…

Everything Console is for real hardware playing games and emulators of older systems
Everything Emulation is for emulating on a PC platform

As you have used it you then have it setup in ePSXe as your video plugin?

Never had an issue using codes with FF7 in ePSXe with PEC

Also avoid using save states as they also have what setup you used when you created them so if the save state was created without using the pec video plugin then it will obviously not work with the cheats enabled because the plugin will also not be enabled

Instead of savestates or as well as if you like use in-game save features

Yes, I have configured ePSXe. I set the plugin that PEC provided, I configured the PEC Video Plugin to Pete's Soft GPU Plugin.
I select some Cloud's Codes like: All Limit Attacks and When Starting a Battle Limit Bar is Full but they don't work when I send the cheats to the plugin.

(By the way, I never used savestates.)

If it was me I would be testing other codes (with the same game to start with) just to make sure it is working correctly

Well, for some unknown reason after I deleted the configurations of ePSXe and its plugins, I reconfigured it and tried to use the US & Canada Cheats, they started working‼
