Default Sun of All Fears EU/PAL on US PS2?

I did a search and couldn't find anything about it, even in posts about what PAL/EU games run on NTSC-U consoles.

I am considering buying a copy of SoAF off Ebay from the UK. It'd be about $10 total with shipping, and it's one of the few games I'm missing from my Tom Clancy collection. (yes, I'm a tad obsessive about it)

I know there is an ISO for it on here for use with an emulator, but I'd still like a physical copy to play also.

So I guess my question is: does anyone know if the PAL/EU version will play on a US PS2? (white singstar console for reference)

    Thanks!

It's not a very good game tbh I've got a dump of the Gamecube version.
Actually, I'd say it's pretty terrible.
It should be playable on a chipped US ps2 console
A backup might even work using fmcb.

Well, I have an ISO working with PCSX2 right now,

And yes, I know it probably isn't that good on consoles, but it's still a Clancy game.

I'd rather not mod my console just for one game.

Using fmcb isn't a big deal really, it's not like you have to fine point solder 18+ wires or anything.
And blank media is dirt cheap.

The PS2 is not region free

so emulate it or fmcb your PS2 and play a burned copy (fmcb will not work with original media only patched burned DVD's preferably DVD+R on newer PS2 consoles)

fmcb is just software installed onto a memcard, boot your PS2 without that memcard in and it is unmodded boot it with the memcard in and it's softmodded (modded with software)
