Default i need a bit of help with Project 64

not really sure how to explain this but i hope you get it

the issue is that some texture always stay on the screen even if i move the camera and i was wondering how to fix this....

its kind of like when you beat solitaire and the start bouncing around the screen

any ideas on which setting to use for a fix would be great bc i think i messed it up by changing the setting

    Thanks

What game for starters and what plugins and settings do you currently have

And what game is troubling you

System specs may be needed also

I'm off for the night but I'm sure someone can help

I think this may help out a bit:

    http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=262536

A lot of information about the emulator there.

    Sorry.

When I saw texures, that site jumped to mind first. The standard gfx plugin that I usually see with most pj64k downloads is the Jabo's Direct3D plugin. Ocasionally I'll have gfx errors with it, especially textures, so I'll switch to the Glide64 gfx plugin, and it's usually fine after that. Seems to lag for some people though. Allowed me to play bomberman, when it wouldn't in jabo direct3d last time I tried it a while back. If a jabo direct 3d plugin is being used, there's a chance that it might be an outdated version. Some people I know have had to use it for some reason because the less outdated version wouldn't for the them I believe. However, when I was first setting up pj64k a long while back, the outdated jabo gave me errors so I had to replace the dll with a less outdated version. I'm not sure what version madness20 may have, but the one I just downloaded lists, jabo direct 3d7 as it's default plugin. That was the one I replaced with the replaced with jabo direct 3d8, mainly so it would load that plugin and not revert back to 3d7 during online play.

This site lists a few of the plugins that I've used:

i am using the jabo 3d one and the issue was with all games but mostly with Pokemon stadium 2

the start screen wont appear and background on the select screen is all white

but the weird part is that if a menu moves it is always on the screen, say if i go to stadium mode and move the cursor from poke cup to prime cup there will now be TWO cursors on the screen

when selecting pokemon to start the fight there is a afterimage of how the menu moved in from the right to the left and if i look at their stats, that menu stays on the screen even when i let the button go.

    hope this helps

I will download PJ64 and Jabo's plugin and test this myself I may be a lil while without your settings to go on

I will first try and reproduce the problems you are getting

It's the plug in settings that I was after

But it's the Force Alpha Blending that causes that, take it off

P.S. the advanced controls are not ment to be messed with unless you know what you are doing with them, some of those will have negetive effects for most games it also depends on what your hardware can handle

Show me your settings then (this would be the 3rd time I have asked)

I can't tell what is making yours not display correctly (though I can't see it effecting game play either)

Also my version of PJ64 is from http://www.jabosoft.com/articles/114#last

It's a slightly updated version by Jabo himself version number was not changed (It is updated though) but this is the last version he has taken part in, now that he has retired from the project (there is a 1.7 version also but even Jabo has stated that he will use 1.6 over 1.7, reasons for this I don't exactly know he wasn't willing to put the project down, there are fixes in 1.7 but at a guess 1.6 is currently more stable)

i got a site with info that may help, one sec... well i did, anyone know what happened to Bighead's emu help site? it won't load for me, maybe it will for one of you guys http://bmgcl.emuxhaven.net/

i know that site was loaded with plugin/game info for project 64 and other N64 emulators (all of which are a pain in general to "fix") and some games just don't work no matter what you try (looking at you gauntlet legends )

edit: lord, i need to sort bookmark folder marked videogames soon, i liked to have never found that link
