Problem with ISO (extracting 001 file)

Hey guys I recently downloaded Super Smash Bros Melee from this site and the .rar file has a lot of stuff inside it, I tried adding the entire folder as an .iso using poweriso but Dolphin doesn't recognize the game or says that it is an invalid GCM/ISO file or not a GC/Wii file, what am I doing wrong and what should I do?

Usually the GC .rar files downloaded from here contain a set of smaller .rar files (right?). If this is the case then you have to find part 1 of the unpacked .rar files and unpack it again. If you have different files, tell me which :p

Well the Rar file did not contain any smaller .rar files, just a lot of files with .001,.002

After that I tried adding the .001 file as a .rar again, and extracting it again, only to be brought back to the same .001 file.

I also tried converting the file using Poweriso as .iso but Dolphin just doesn't recognize it

I think you need to use this

for .001 .002 .003 ect... files just use 7-zip right click on the first one and hit exract here

Winrar may also be able to handle those aswell, the same thing applies, right click on the 001 only and hit extract archieve

I can't seem to do anything with those files... try getting the other one, Super_Smash_Brothers_Melee_USA_GC-RARE, maybe that one will work.

I guess WinRar isn't associated with .001-files and onward, at least not using the default settings.

http://www.7-zip.com/ is your friend for split files, just extract via the first one

Alright so I started downloading the other Smash Bros file but my internet crashed in the middle of the download so have to go at it again .
From the look of that one the files inside the folder do have the 001.rar so those should work, if not I'll try 7zip.

No problem, both 7-zip and winrar are worth having installed if one does not work try the other

generally speaking any split archieve you can extract from the first file (only the first file the rest are automaticly read by both extractors)

7-zip has been able to join HJsplit files for a long time now yes and winrar has followed in it's foot steps
