Default Wip3out/wipEout 3 starting line checkpoint freeze. ps1

I need some help. I am trying to find a wipeout 3 iso which does not crash on the moment of crossing the blue line. (Since i have a chipped psone, it really doesnt matter what region) I have tried 8-10 different isos from about as many sites and NOTHING WORKS. this is what happens:

any idea on why this happens and how to fix it or where to get an iso which actually works?

It's copy protected well the PAL version is, so you have burned 8 to 10 copy protected discs without having the copy protection cracked... oops

It's LibCrypt protection to be exact that does let you boot a game but will only let you get so far before it either freezes or it can prevent you from progressing by just endlessly looping certain area's or it can even prevent items showing up that are vital to completing a game.

Personly I would verify my images before burning, but up to you

the following are just to verify your copy

http://redump.org/disc/355/ for Wip3out PAL (this is the version that has copy protection and requires patching to work)
http://redump.org/disc/5732/ for WipEout 3 NTSC (I'm sure there is no copy protection in this version)
http://redump.org/disc/937/ for WipEout 3: Special Edition PAL (No copy protection here)

We have WipEout 3: Special Edition at http://www.emuparadise.me/Sony_Plays..._%28E%29/52529

A good copy protection list can be found at http://www.reocities.com/timessquare/dragon/3926/

i have multiple copies but i decided to go with the eu version and patch the game myself.
i got the patch, i found a tutorial and i have the cdrwin specified in the tutorial. When i tried to click on the button first required to, it said "no supported cdrom reader was found on this system". what i do now? ._.

Don't use CDRwin just use whatever you are used to using I would use ImgBurn personly

WipEout 3: Special Edition is PAL and is not copy protected but if you want the normal PAL version the just use PPFOmatic to patch the CD image then burn it with whatever you like

If your CD image is not in Bin+Cue format you can use ISObuster (free use version is enough) to convert it (Do not use Magic ISO or any of it's clones it will ruin the image they can't handle str and xa headers used for PSX images)

img = same format as bin, so just put * to show all files in ppfomatic when you go to open the cd image

Wished you just asked there guide is very much out of date
