Question ps2 video cables which is better?

On my softmodded ps2 phat I am wondering which cable is superior to the original composit output cable that Sony supplies with their console. Is it the component cable, the s-video, or RF adapter cables I want to squeeze every pixel out of my game as I can, and some games like fullmetal alchemists and futurama the game really need it bad when the character is moving.

I used to use an RGB cable for my PS2.

Anyway, have a look at this for more info.

Component (Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr) (5 connections Green, Blue & Red for video and red and white for sound)
    Pros
    Perfect Picture
    Takes advantage of HD TV's
    Cons
not all software can display in it (only found 1 PS2 game so far and no PS1 software will work) <- They don't tell you that

    Composite SCART (RGB) (1 Connection)
    Pros
    All software works great
The best of the Composite types
    Cons
Display is not even close to being as good as Component

Personly I use Component (Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr) but play PSX on my PSone and any PS2 software that does not work I do switch back to Composite (RBG) [P.S. the game was ICO that I found does not work in (Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr) mode]

S-Video (3 connections, Black S.Video Red Sound White Sound) is lower quality than Composite SCART

Composite A/V (3 connections, Yellow Video Red Sound White Sound) is slighty lower that S-Video but more compatible with TV's (I have had issues with S-Video only showing in B/W)

RF is just horrible quality (can you see an image through the snow)

So I should go with the component cables? And I have found a way to make progressive scan work on that cable with both all ps2's and ps1 games you need GSM Graphics Synthesis Modulator and set it to the 1080 P HD option. Does not work with avi output. After that all games come out in progressive scan.

Which is better avi or s-video on a pc laptop?

avi is not an output standard, are you talking abouve A/V??? if so there is very little to pick between them and personly due to compat issues A/V is the best choice

Component is the best so yes go for it, as for res running 480 in 1080 shouldn't make it look any better than Compnent on it's own (P.S. never heard of this device) but do know that if you doble the res of something you double the size of the pixcels aswell

avi is just a file type that contains video, neither the PSX or PS2 use that
