    Default Translating a Game

Alright, So I recently got my hands on the japanese PS2 game Hungry Ghosts. I've already made an ISO file of it but what I'm wanting to know is how can I change the in game text from Japanese to English. I'm wanting to do this so that more people can play this game. What kind of programs would I need for this, and I know this is going to sound weird, but can I do this using Windows 7 Home Premium?

I really want to let others enjoy this game, so I really appreciate any help in advance.

You mean you want to fan translate the game? That requires a lot of Japanese knowledge, assembly programming, and patience. If you know what you're doing here's the place to start. If you don't know programming, you've got to learn that first.

Unless a game has specialised translation tools, programming is a must know how

There are a few games out there with ready made tools so just about anyone can get to translating the games those tools are made for (Hungry Ghosts isn't one I know of)

If you already have the know how for Jap to Eng translating then you could maybe ask about assembly programmers over at romhacking, this usually goes the other way round as they are after translators for games that have already been cracked or are in the middle of being cracked
