    1. No, you do not have to buy a network adapter with the slim PS2 (but that will not matter).

    2. Alright, I am going to try to answer you with my (apparently) limited knowledge:

You do not connect a USD HDD to the network adapter. You need to use an internal IDE drive. HDloader will not run a game from a USB HDD.
Also, you can not install an internal HDD on a slim PS2. Sony lost interest after HDloader was made (I wonder why ?).

However, there is some homebrew called USBadvance/USBExtreme that will load form the USB port at the front of the console. You can use either a Flash/Jump/Pen Drive, an external HDD, or an internal HDD with an external USB Enclosure.
But like Zorlon said earlier, it uses USB 1.1, so running games will load very slowly with limited compatibility. Check out this Compatibility List

    My advice:
If you are getting a Slim (SCPH-70000), use discs. If you are getting a 'fat' (SCPH-30000), you may want to consider getting an internal HDD.

Um... Why? You still need a way to install it on your memory card/run custom .elfs. Are you going to buy the HDLoader disk? I would not recommend it, there is the fore-mentioned free service on this site, and there is this guide:

    What about SCPH-90000?

So running a game with USBAdvance and a Flash will also be slow like running it with FreeMCBoot?

i have used the Same sim ps2 with FreeMcboot for almost 2 years i think its been and i havnt had one problem.

There are risks with everything. Hdd failure, disc scratching, lens or ps2 blowing up.

Just do what you think is best.

So, the best idea is tat I use FreeMCBoot with working games, and the games that don't work I can burn them in DVDs and then play them, right?

But I have one question, did you have a problem with the fan or the Power Supply???
If I am not going to use the lens and will use the Memory card and Flash instead, then other things in the ps2 might stop working as well?
Is the ps2 fan the same as the laptop's? I mean does it stop spinning or make a noise someday such as the laptop's?
And is it available for sale in stores?

As i said there are risks with EVERYTHING. You are gonna have to make a decision and just go with it. Dont know about the fans or stuff but i dont think (i may b wrong) that it would make any difference, because you would be playing using discs if you were buying games from the shop and the fans a built for that.

I havnt had ANY probs with power supply or Fans so yeah i would go with your idea of usong games that arnt so great playing from an hdd and stick em on disc. Ive never had any slowdown or skipping on even the oldest discs i have, but then i take care of em.

Hope this all helps and maybe someone else can answer the question about the fans

Not had any issues running backup media on my PS2 but I will advise you go buy very good DVD+R media to burn onto

I have been doing this for years now, since before there was a slim model out (my bulky model did die but for completly unrelated reasons, it was fed coffee lol)

Verbatim DVD+R's are one of the best out there

    Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
    [Quest Packs Collection]
GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
[Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]

So, I already bought 2 packs (50 pcs each) DataLife DVD-R not DVD+R,
    So what are the differences?

DVD-R are going to give the PS2 problems reading (specially low quality ones) and will eventually kill off the PS2 laser
