what is the best n64 emulator?

I got rid of my N64 stuff a long time ago, along with all of my other roms, so i'm out of the loop. I just want to play RE2. I played it before, but i can't recall if there were errors, like graphic errors, ect. I was using project64, but as i said, it has been a long time.

PJ64 is regarded as the best. However RE2 is a tough one you're better off just getting the psx version, it's of course larger in file size but these days it shouldn't be too bad of a dl. The only thing I can remember that was added to the N64 version was extra game files you could find scattered around or something stupid like that.

Yeah i use p64 and Resi2 is one of the few games that wont run (sound and display glitches) so i use epsxe to play it.

I think it's possible though, been years since I've fuddled with it so meh I don't remember.

Edit: actually now that I think of it you may want to find the pc version. You won't be able to use savestates, if that's your thing but I seem to remember being able to skip the door opening scenes with the spacebar or something.

ePSXe runs Resi 2 just fine and the dual shock version is one of the most complete versions (extra features like art work ect are missing from this and the N64 versions)

Dreamcast version is maybe the best of the best versions (feature wise) though not emulated

PC version is ok but not every system can play it correctly as it uses very old and odd drivers for video, there are several ways round it but not worth it as the the PSX version is fine and can look far sexier than the PC version

Besides you can also bump up the framerate on epsxe to make it slightly more challenging, I use to run RE games at 70ish I think for a bit of a boost!!!

One is for Leon the other Claire, just remember to hard save your game at the end of whatever scenario you do. Load up the 2nd disc and you'll be able to continue with the 2nd scenario. There won't be any problem.

So it does it based on saves rather than opening up you console while it is on, and putting in the next disk? Just to make sure i got this right, lol

Disc 1 is Leon's disc, disc 2 is Claire's disc. There is no need to swap discs, ever during a Leon playthrough. Until you're done with Leon's disc, you put the second disc in and play the Claire side of the game.
