ePSXe not running certain games-please help!!

I'm using the ePSXe version 1.7.0 and for some reason it won't run any of the Spyro the Dragon games. The 2nd and 3rd game each gave me three different .bin files and on each one, the first file doesn't work. The second two will begin to load and the screen with go black with the picture of the playstation remote on the top right but nothing with come up, it just stays black. If anyone knows how I can fix this problem, I would be sooo grateful!!

more info needed what region is the game u.s. Europe japan shown by an ntsc U or j or pal e. also what is your computer specs.

what plugins are you using with epsxe and how are the configured. are you sure the files are just .bin and not .bin.ecm did you download it from here if so could you link us to the download

if i remember correctly isnt spyro copy protected?

Yes, and only the first Spyro of PAL release is unprotected, if I'm not mistaken.

try download the game and see if it work or not and plz post ur cpu specs and the region of the game that u re using ...

I downloaded this for testing http://www.emuparadise.me/Sony_Plays...TSC-U%5D/37596 it's bin.ecm you need ecm tools click and drag the file to un ecm that gave me a playable game played for about an hour and no problems.

2 & 3 have protection removal patches

You don't realy need to patch though with ePSXe it does have auto patching if you na,e then the same as the games SLUS/SLES code and pop em in the patches folder, but if you can't figure that out then just patch the CD images

Ok I looked at the other files and they're ecm too. Where can I get the ecm tools? Thanks so much!!

EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out!

EDIT 2: So I downloaded PakkISO and I'm following the instructions by right clicking and selecting "Unpack ISO". It seems like the application pops up for .3 seconds and then disappears and nothing has changed...am I doing something wrong? Sorry for being such a noob and thanks again to anyone who helps!

no problem I thought that might be your problem we actually get that quite a bit.

Spyro 2 and 3 are protected though to start they work just fine

Spyro 2 will crash out on entering level 3 (actually crashes ePSXe with an Opcode error)
Spyro 3 go onto the second level then come back to the first one after you have beaten Buzz, the fairy comes up and says "Spyro you appear to be playing a hacked game you may experience difficulties you would not get on a normal game (might do a screen shot if I can be bothered to play it)

I will attach patches you can pop directly into the patches folder soon just correcting the names of the files now so you can extract them directly into the patches folder and not think about it.
