Default ePSXe Black Screen with NTSC game

    Hello

This is my first post on this forum; I've been reading posts for a few months and have learned a lot, thanks to all of you!

I'm having no luck running MLB 2005 on epsxe 1.7.0. I have an NTSC-U copy thats in a .CUE 1k file and a .BIN thats 300(ish)mb. When I go to File>Run ISO and select the BIN file i get a black screen. I also get a black screen when i select the CUE file. I tried mounting the CUE file in Dameon Tools Lite and running the CD-Rom but I got a black screen that way too.

I also couldnt get an NTSC copy of Final Fantasy IX to run, but when i tried a PAL version and got the patches I was able to play the game all the way through with no problems. I've been running everything off a flash drive, would that effect anything? Everything worked fine for the pal FFIX files.

I also tried it on ePSXe 1.5.2; when i did i got the following message:

    running epsxe emulator 1.5.2
    Memory handlers init.
    epsxe: PSX BIOS loaded [bios\Scph1001.bin].
    Init ISO code ... ok
    NTSC Cdrom detected
    Doing init gpu[0]...
    Gpu open [0]...
    Direct input init ok.
    doing spu init...
    Spu open...

when i tried it on pSX113, i got a long list of messages all saying "cuebin out of range" followed by numbers

Here are my specs and plugins

    windows 7 (64bit)
    4gb RAM, DDR-III
Intel core i5 processor 2.26 Ghz

    bios: SCPH1001
    Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.77
    Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41
    ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.7.0

What do I need to do? Do i need to something to the CUE/BIN files? Thanks in advance for all the help!!

MLB 2005 ???? no idea what game you are talking about

Never mind it's a baseball game of sorts also released on PS2, is this the PSX version or could it be the PS2 version?

Never mind again the PS2 version is a DVD game aka would not be in cue+bin format

You can check the cue+bin with CD-Mage though to make sure it's ok

when i open the .CUE file in CDmage, i get the the message:

Data track has errors in the file system, its contents may be displayed incorrectly. Continue parsing? Yes/No

when i click yes, it continues fine and the scan says it has no errors

is it the way im loading the files, whats the proper way to load .BIN/.CUE files in ePSXe 1.7.0?

you've made it very simple, thanks!

this leads me to believe that i was having a plugin issue, would you agree?

Sounds like the cue sheet was either messed up or the entire CD image has some issues

I am a little supprised you got it working at all though I'm guessing there are just issues with the cue sheet that both CD-Mage and Daemon Tools uses... though you might find sound issues aswell if the game uses cdda tracks
