Need help for psx/ps1 games

Hi, I have been given a ps1 (Modded/chipped) and am in need of help, how to download etc games for my grand children, I am, not very game literate so will need very basic instructions, in pal format, please is ther anyone can help. thanks

well 1st off you will need to download the games that you want, and you will need some blank CD-R's you can pick these up at any super market, then once you have downloaded the games that you wish to burn look at this guide

Bennieboi20 Thank you, I have downloaded Casper(E), I have unrared, and unzipped and am left with a track1.bin.ecm and track2.ape files and really do not know what to do from here.

Cookiemonster, thanks, I have looked at the thread, and I have already gotten alacohol 120, 7z, and clone cd, and I downloaded another game, Land before time, this time it only had to be unzipped then I burned with Alcohol, the game worked sort of, it has lines across and it's in black and white. I thought it was easier than this and I didn't realise that there was so much involved. Like I said I just wanted some games for grandchildren, all this might be beyond me. Thanks again

How to fix Black and White issue

Import player is your friend for game not from your region, either that or display patch the game before burning, this can have bad side effects with somes making them go out of sync when speech is used in game and some games will freeze, the other option is to obtain a RBG scart lead for the PSX/PS1

Import Player light (E) [PAL] boot NTSC games with PAL display fix
Import Player light (U) [NTSC] boot PAL games with NTSC display fix
Import Player light (J) [NTSC/J] boot PAL games with NTSC display fix
PAL4U used to patch display NTSC to PAL/PAL to NTSC (try before Zapper 2000)
Zapper 2000 used to patch display NTSC to PAL/PAL to NTSC

again the best fix is running the PS1 through a RGB Scart to your TV or make sure the games you get are the same region as your console/TV i.e. U=USA=NTSC E=Europe=PAL

Zorlon; A big Thank you for your advice, I have used the RGB Scart and it has fixed the black and white problem, I have also downloaded Import Player Light but am not sure how to use it, can you give me some direction.

Import player is a boot CD thats not worth it if you have RGB SCART

boot Import Player from a normal burned CD, just make sure the version of Import Player matches the region of you Playstation

1 boot import player
2 change to a backup/original not from your region
3 change whatever options need changing
4 press whatever it tells you to start/boot the game
