sorry i forgot to mention some details... your usb device must be fat32 format AND you must fully defrag your games once installed. use auslogics defragmenter to defrag your installed game files on the usb drive.

I saw what you said, but I can't make my device fat32 format because the program only recognizes my C and D drives, not my usb drive. Defragging isn't hard.

Be sure to burn your discs at the slowest setting you have, preferably 1x. Slower burning means better quality and makes the games more likely to be playable.

To your response. My burner only lets me burn at a min of 3x.

EDIT: Holy cow I got it to work. I used the last Memorex DVD+R I had to burn .Hack Infection. Hopefully the order of Verbatim DVD-R will work on it though.

thats fine that will still be the best burning speed for your hardware, mine is 2.5x even if I set imgburn to burn at 1x it jumps to 2.5x because of my hardware

if your not already using it I recomend imgburn for ps2 burning

Verbatim is the way to go for media, if your ps2 can handle +R try Verbatim DVD+R's it's a bit of trial and error though to find out what is best for your PS2 some people can't use DVD+R at all, dual layer is even harder to get working personly I avoid those and go for dvd 5 rips when possible

Just retried the other DVD+R that I burned and oddly they don't work. Idk if it reads them sometimes or only read the one disc because it wanted to. We'll have to see when I get my Verbatim discs Friday.

EDIT: It seems that it reads the DVD+R sometimes.

Well the Verbatim DVD-R 10 pk that I ordered didn't work on my ps2. Pissing me off.

The PS2 was poorly put together, but thats just sony on the cheap n nasty there are hardly any PS2's that run the same either specially with the PS2 slim thats why it's trial and error with the PS2.

My advice would be avoid dual layer, stick to verbatim but seen as the -R's had an epic fail stick to +R's

Just to note verbatim have done more than one type of DVD-R you can check out this Verbatim DVD Media list it should be of a little help

Also some Verbatim (DataLifePlus) model DVD-R's are rubbish

Alright I'll try to invest in some Verbatim DVD+R discs then. So what you're saying is I shouldn't buy the datalifeplus discs?

Some of them are bad, just look at the link I gave Verbatim do all sorts of DVD there are datalifeplus that are fine aswell as datalifeplus that just wont work on console
