Default Most inspiring level/bit of a game that you've played?

For me, its gotta be rainbow road on MK64. after you've beaten a 150cc cup, just go on rainbow road on single player challenges. Then just cruise The silhouettes of the characters... It just brings you back

If I'm going with most inspiring part of a game, I suppose a good contender would be the scene where you finally meet Andrew Ryan in BioShock.

    Absolutely bloody awesome.

The opening 5 minutes of Limbo, strips a game right back to what it should be, simple yet deeply enjoyable!

Has to be the Megaman X4 intro level at the Sky Lagoon. Can't help but rush into action!

The last boss in Bayonetta Really made me feel inspired. The location, scenery, and epic boss fight really went well together. (running around in a giant ball makes me feel like a small hamster ^^ )
As every thread of gold is valuable, so is every moment of time.

Moonside and The Cave of The Past in Earthbound. Pretty much the whole game, but those two stick out the most for me for their total surreal weirdness (Moreso than Magicant). I played this game at a pretty young age and I'm almost certain it's affected what I appreciate in art and music to this day.

Same goes for The Neverhood/Skullmonkeys. Always loved claymation, but I'd love to see more games (or movies or whatever) in this style or in this universe.

Super Metroid's Sunken Ship and Maridia (The "dark" part of Maridia, closest to the tube you can blow up in Brinstar to get there). Awesome ways to make creepy, desaturated scenes with the SNES. I was kind of freaked out by the vastness of the ocean when I was a kid too, so seeing all that stuff way in the background in that part of Maridia was like GOD DAMN.

Mr. X (or T-00) from Resident Evil 2. Gameplay wise he's not as nasty as Nemesis, but for design? Way cooler. I think, anyway.

Anyway I could go on being a snob about stuff I think is cool forever, but I'll just stop for now.

The last level of R-Type Final was quite memorable to me as the background depicts the silhouette of two people embracing, apparently to procreate. Not what I was expecting.

I would have to say Avalanche in FFVII. The fact that they left their normal lives behind to make war on the company that was destroying their world is even more inspiring now than it was when I was playing the game. I think it's because the same thing is happening to our world, with people all over the world revolting against their governments and the world being made into a toxic cesspool by the corporations.

    Be afraid. Be very afraid.
