    sorry chinese site
    taken from here
    Google translated here

P.S. it's not just this that is on the web site they also have details for Lan addators
P.P.S. I'm guessing you could use a spare micro SD adaptor with this instead of a SD adaptor slot as shown

Right now you can rip GD's via SD card and also reupload code to the dreamcast like PD dev emu's ect, not sure what else you can run at this time as I have only realy just got to looking into it myself

check out the posts at benheck forum for the links in there rather than the site itself, this seems to have more info though I have not checked it fully myself....yet

Good then you can make me one , will have to get myself a solderin iron sometime, I realy think this is sexy as hell and want my dreamcast to feature one, less loading lag would be great and emu testing without killing off tons of CD-R's all sounds great to me

A hell of alot of Dreamcasts sites have gone now or lost there files so thought it best to link up working links

Dreamshell Downloads Currently at Version 4.0 Beta 4, includes "iso make" download (gdi2data is part of that pack)
    Dreamshell News

    Update info in spoiler

Much of what was meant to realize no time, I decided to post as it is, otherwise it can go on forever
Yet there's good news. So more about the major changes:

    — Reworked video rendering. Now he runs a separate process that allows not freeze all of the DS for work, or what the command, and the performance of this has contributed positively.
    — Added support for external commands. Teams represent themselves separately compiled programs (ELF format), or lua scripts. Are they in the directory cmds.
    — Updated library fatfs (to work with SD card) to the latest version, as well as improve its performance in the DS.
    — Module sdiso now is not the module, now it is designed as external command. It also has been updated library fatfs and added support for long filenames.
    — New command:
    — bios — This command allows you to flash a BIOS (if you have a bios mod)
    — gdrip — Team to rip GD-ROM to the SD card.
    — hack — This command for hack LBA in a binary file. Maybe hack the binary directly in the ISO image.
    — ffdev — Command to work with the SD card.
    — dreameye — The command to save and delete photos from your camera dreameye.
    — luac — Compiler lua scripts to bytecode.
    — and other…
Just been handed down some internal commands to external, to facilitate a little core of DS.
    — A little refined file manager. There were tooltips in the toolbar, as well as in the header shows the current path.
Also it has built-in support firmware bios (when you click on the file extension .bios) and rip GD-ROM.
    — Added an application to install DreamShell in bios (if you have a bios mod). Now you can load DreamShell directly without disc with bios and SD card!
    — Added a new app Region Changer 1.8.
    — Added initial support network.
    — Added module lwip, which is an alternative to built-in support network.
    — Zip and bzip2 libraries were made in separate modules, to ease the DS core.
    — Added a virtual keyboard, which works as a console and a GUI.
    — Now L/R Shift of the joystick, you can call the console and the virtual keyboard.
    — Speed up loading the DS core.
    — Added the events mouseover and mouseout to GUI buttons.
    — New features in the API.
    — Lots of bugs fixes and optimizations.
    — A little refined boot DS with an SD card.
    — Compilation DreamShell was made with the latest version at the moment KallistiOS (r676), compiler gcc 4.4.4, binutils 2.20.1 and newlib 1.18 — From this had to be temporarily abandoned because of problems with SD card.
    — Rather, there is still something that I forgot

    Video of Dreamshell running Part1+Part2

Looks like you can run iso's to me

Neet looking mod playing games from SD, also shows more honest pro's n cons (some games lag)

I am still voting a big hell yeah though and I am hoping to run large size iso's i.e. not cut to fit 80 min or 99min CD's, so none ripped/no compressed audio/video
It isn't too hard to rip GD rom dumps to iso, the tools are out there to do this, not sure about CDDA data as none of the CD images I have seen opened with this have been in anything but iso format

If and when I get a SD adapter I will compile a compat list not too unlike my VGA list, I will detail the same games anyway, with that inmind I do tend to only use VGA so the few none VGA games may be left to another time

With this though I am wondering if this could be adapted to run off USB mass storage such as pen drives, usb sd adapters and usb hdd, though this would cost more to make, but the SD adapter could be made with min cost, could even rip a PC USB SD Adapter (seen em go for like £1) or just use a micro SD Adapter, often free with Micro SD's for phones/NDS flash kit's ect as no micro chips are needed

Seen it on ebay for sale here in the UK for 15 squid.

eBay SD Card Adapter for Sega Dreamcast

    I unfortionatly lack any funds...

More links for SD Adaptor/modded Dreamcasts more for images realy, lots of cool looking stuff though

For this to be modded directly into a Dreamcast I like the idea shown in that last vid in my previous post, easy to fit/case mod, the only thing I might change is the light location for SD access

The only thing I would like to see on the Dreamcast now would be a USB storage port instead of SD, though less cost effective would I presume run a hell of alot more smoothly

Woth keeping an eye on This

    Edit, cool

I seen a guy on YouTube had fitted his SD card right above where the modem slides into the side, it looks really good. I'll try and find the video.

    Posted it before you

Yes I like that one very much, may get myself a brand new soldering iron and give it a shot, I have a bust laptop with a SD slot might just remove it and install it in one of my Dreamcasts above the modem as shown, like I said in another post the light could be located differently but that asides I love the easy to place idea above the modem, beter than trying the create a smooth looking slot in the middle of the plastic mold of the Dreamcasts shell

I doubled posted on accident, or at least I think I did, I was having trouble with pages loading earlier.

    I want to do this!

Can I only rip GD roms and or run code? Are there any ways to run games from the card?
Ill go through that last link (in the first post) But do you know off hand, if anyone is working on a type of boot disk to run games off the sd card?
    That would be worth it.

Thats exactly what I asked for.
Shardnax asked for me to do this for him, and whether I do his or mine first, Ill give my test results for SD card classes.
Maybe I missed the videos covering different classes of SD cards, but the lag could also be a bottleneck at the lan adapter side.
