Seriously. Pretty much everyone now falls under a different zodiac sign than they did before. Also, they are adding a thirteenth Zodiac - you're now an Opiuchus if your birthday falls from Nov 29 – Dec 17.

Haa, isn't this kinda old news? The tropical/sidereal debate's a pretty old one, and neither of them match the actual boundaries of the constellations nowadays. The West is pretty much the only place where the tropical calendar is still used, and I just looked up when it was last calibrated - turns out it was back around 1900 BC. Literally, we've rebuilt our fundamental calendar system for denoting time several times since then. The only reason the dates aren't further off is because we've drifted so far off that we're almost back to where we started (the vernal equinox is calibrated to the first cusp of Aries, the first sign; right now, it's in Pisces, the last sign).

Not like anyone really cares. Sidereal astrologers will use the sidereal calendar, tropical astrologers will use the tropical calendar, and everyone else will just look up whatever dates in their newspaper or in some iPod app every once in a while and settle for that.
