Default Two Controllers To Rule Them All

    http://www.kanection.co.uk/product.php/34/0/

Yah, forgive the silly title. But yes, I am looking into getting this port for my laptop. However, I have no idea about compatibilitys.

I was really hoping to find out if this port can allow for assigning keyboard keys to the buttons, say , the triangle button will hit the A button?

And if this port cannot do this, can anyone suggest a good controller with that function?

Well, the keys will be pre-assigned I believe, but just about every emulator under the sun will allow you to configure the buttons to your liking, so there's no problem there.

EDIT: The drivers may allow you to define the keys in whatever manner you chose, but I'm not sure. Like I said though, every emulator out there allows you to customize controller configuration, so you're golden no matter what the case.

    thats my converter

And it works with the EMS USB2 drivers

    http://www.hkems.com/product/ps2/ps2-usb2.htm
(those drivers are in english but the screenshots are not)

    It now supports key mapping

**Also even Dos progs or progs with no pad support can use a control pad with a small proggy called Joy2Keys that will change pad presses into keyboard presses (attached)

Actually no drivers are needed for that converter but if you don't use drivers you don't get shock mode and you can't customize it

Personly I even use that converter on my old Mac OS9 just fine even though there are no drivers for my OS (lacks rumble though on the mac)

Edit:**Joy2Keys functions are now built directly in those drivers
