Try vba-over if that's not what your already referring to. http://forums.emuparadise.org/local_...=links&catid=5

i downloaded that already. still dosent work. and what does (saves from games that did not work correctly then restart the emulator for the changes to take effect) mean?

You probably need to delete your old .sav file, which by default should be in the same folder as your roms. Of course, you know how to restart your emulator, right(close it and open it again)?

By the way, you should be opening Visual Boy Advance then loading the rom, some people try to just double click the rom.
To use this file extract it into the same folder as VBA, then set the Save in VBA to automatic and Flash 64k, also remove saves from games that did not work correctly then restart the emulator for the changes to take effect
Are there any other of these steps that you haven't completed?

pokemon ruby... what language version of the rom are you trying to play, because the vba_over I done was for the english versions only, the only multi language one I done was for Pokemon Emerald

also did you set the save types back to defauts

    The process goes like this

1 Close down VBA (exit the emu totally)
2 Extract vba_over to the same folder as VBA
3 Remove old saves for the games vba_over fixes
4 Note:- Never run old save states after vba_over is extracted
    5 Run vba
    6 run game
7 set save type back to defaults if changed
8 Close down VBA (exit the emu totally)
9 Make sure no saves are there for the game again
    10 Run VBA
    11 Run game
12 if it still isn't working close emu and goto step 6

vba_over must be extracted to work

    Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
    [Quest Packs Collection]
GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
[Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]
Please can all ESR users post your results here to help with the project and others wanting to use ESR
