Default ePSXe settings and Gex: Enter the Gecko???

I'm new to paradise here. Everything is so happy . Anyway... trying to save my scratched up PSX CDs and ripped Gex: Enter the Gecko. Neither CD nor ISO runs in ePSXe in the many variations of settings I used (will paste video config at the bottom). CloneCD ripped the CD just fine, though. I can't figure it out? All I get is a blank screen. Any pointers? All the other games I've tried work fine (Tomb Raider, Crash 3, Heart of Darkness, etc...). Oh, and it works just fine on my PS2.

The 1001 BIOS is the way to go. Anyway, for easy testing just use the PeOPS software plugin, then change over to a hardware accelerated one. If even software rendering fails you, well... at least you know that it's not the graphic plugin that's malfunctioning.

    Default Nothing yet...

I got peops. Here are the settings:

    Plugin: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.1.17
Author: Pete Bernert and the P.E.Op.S. team

    Resolution/Color:
    - 320x200 Fullscreen - [16 Bit]
    Stretch mode: 0
    Dither mode: 0

    Framerate:
    - FPS limit: on
    - Frame skipping: off
    - FPS limit: Auto

    Misc:
    - Scanlines: disabled
    - Game fixes: off [00000040]

I tried the game fix for Pandamonium 2, also... just because it's also a Crystal Dynamics game (I think?). Nothing. Which means it must be a problem with CD or sound or even BIOS, right? Or the disc itself, I guess... It just doesn't make sense to me that it plays in PS2 and not here.
Thanks alot for your help guys.
    @ Zorlon:
I'm d/ling connectix now I'll get back when I've tried that (ltr today probably)
    Thnx again gents,
    Ian

I got it d/led along with the fix (but doesn't this just run the program in 98/ME compat. mode? lol)
Anyway, I'm getting a pentium II or later processor required error... which, if nothing else, gave me a good laugh.

    Athlon 64 3400+ w/ a gig 'o RAM
    XP Pro sp2 up-to-date
    BFG Geforce 6800 GT OC
is me. Is there an AMD 64 patch, too?

Any further suggestions? Maybe I'll just try using a different CD/ISO? I've never read a problem w/ Gex: EtG anywhere else. Thanks again guys

I remember having trouble getting one of the Gex games to work in ePSXe 1.6.0.
So I either got it to work in ePSxe 1.5.2, PSXeven v0.19, PSXeven v0.18 or AdriPSX 1.0.5.

I can't remember now which one it was (I've got like a dozen PSX emulators on my comp. Too much maybe?)

    Get PSXeven from here:
    http://batard.psxfanatics.com/

    And AdriPSX from here:
    http://adripsx.psxemu.com/

    And ePSXe 1.5.2 from here:

    Trying all of them Mwahahahaha

    Update:
Works smashingly on ePSXe 1.5.2. I'm not sure what could've changed to not work with 1.6.0. Works with Adri too... and even! so... basically I'll keep all these around in case of another game that sucks on ePSXe 1.6.0. Thanks very much to all who helped!
