Pokemon Emerald wont run :(

i uh.. dont thik i can make it any clearer than wat the title says, but pokemon emerald wont run on my visualboy advance or boycott advance.. If you tell me ill send u the link to pokemon emerald.. even if u have it ... ok screw it.. heres the link for those who will just look at mine and say 'omg like wtf i bet he doesnt even have it' Here mwahahahah so hah! i do have the link but pelase if u kno wat to do please tell me how to work it!! and no, im not a beginner at roms so dont say lik e'ok step 1: double click the rom and blabla

http://forums.emuparadise.org/local_...tion=jump&id=5 To use this file extract it into the same folder as VBA, then set the Save in VBA to automatic and Flash 64k, also remove saves from games that did not work correctly then restart the emulator for the changes to take effect.

but now when i choose the Open With... thing, visualboy doesnt come up and when i go to browse and look for it and choose visualboy, nothing happens; It just goes back to the screen with everything i choose to open it with... this has happened multiple times to me, and im forced to go to other accounts on my computer just to play the emulator and the game... if you dont know how to fix this, or just ive any hints, its ok. Ill just keep switching users and making new ones..

the vba_over does not effect Open With... but most of us use a front end anyway like GBAfront or a Rom manager like RomCenter, they come in handy when you have full sets of 2000 + roms (2254 roms so far not including demo's)

Ya i know, but before i got that, when i chose to play emerald, thats when the trouble of the Open With... started :'(

You need to open the emulator and load the roms from it. You should load roms by choosing file then open within the Visual Boy Advance GUI(Graphical User Interface), then selecting your rom to play it.

edit: well... nope, didnt work. When i choose the open verb within VBA, emerald doesnt come up.. neither does yugioh 7 TGWCT(dont ask) They both wont run on the emulator which sucks because yugioh had like 30k downloads and i wanted to see if id like it, because im in an experimental mood for games right now... i just got off stupid sailermoon RPG (little off topic) but yeah, the ROM wont appear with my other roms

did you enable the RTC in VBA?
(you always need to close andrestart the emu after changing settings)

Also vba will only read zip and gba files
