VBA crash

Ok here's the problem, I load up Visual Boy Advance, select Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages, start a new file, and when I'm putting in a name, if I try to go to lowercase letters it stops, music fine still got 100% 60FPS, but I can't do a damn thing besides reset. Anyone know the problem? Do you need more info?

Maybe try another version of the rom. Some rom headers are modified/corrupted and can cause this type of problem.
Be sure to get the lastest version of VisualBoy Advance, 1.7.2.

Everything should be ok once you fix that.

I just tested mine out and it worked perfectly, make sure you get a rom with the (!) suffix. I used to think of that as a warning sign but it is in fact a perfect dump

[h, Hack) = Hack
[o] = Overdump
[p] = Pirate
[t] = Trainer
[crc-2] = Modified
(666) = evil

Hmm the GBA release set does not use the good tools codes though :/

Yeah, unless your using the Good renaming convention for your roms, you won't get those little helpful signs. You can always get some other notifications, but I don't know what each of them means. Maybe look in the renamer readme.

%n - %t (%c)(%3)(%1)(%2)

- for Custom-renaming you can have the following parameters:

%n - Rom-number
%t - Name
%c - Country
%1 - Name of the group who dumped the rom
%2 - CRC32
%3 - Extra info like 'Bad Dump', 'Size Stripped', ..

So the %3 value would say if it was a bad dump. You can just scan this rom using the renamer.
Find it at http://gba-renamer.com. Scan your rom while enabling the default renaming values, and you'll see if that rom is a bad dump.

Just didn't think before posting. In my head, VBA was used for GBA, even though I use it for GB and GBC too. Let's remove this unuseful post.

heh I just read there is an extra if you play this on a GBA, weird

put in your Oracle of Ages game into your Game Boy Advance and then go to Lynna Village in the past. Then go to the screen where there is the sword aim game, and go to the door to the left of it.

If you're playing Oracle of Seasons on a Gameboy Advance, head to the screen with the Know-it-all Birds Hut. The other house thats normally closed will be open

Hmm yeah there is this cool lil place called Emuparadise
After you .:Enter Emuparadise.org:. just look in the roms section and it's there

The version we have is Legend of Zelda, The - Oracle of Ages (U) [C][!]

(U) = US
[C] = Colour
[!] = Already been said
(666) = Not this time LOL
