    Giri Giri Hacked is the one you want to look at but the emulation isn't great for that game even on the fastest of PC's, but there are other emulators still in development that will be worth trying sometime

    For now don't bother though, just keep hold of the ISO's or even beter buy a cheap Saturn to play em with

    Mod projects - XBOX
    Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
    [Quest Packs Collection]
    GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
    [Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
    GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]
    Please can all ESR users post your results here to help with the project and others wanting to use ESR

    Ok after a few searching on that evil nova site from your old friend : I mean leecher ,I found some info
    now abot that seeding .

    QUOTE (patuli @ Apr 12 2004, 12:46 PM)
    Ok I just downloaded the magic knight rayearth ,mounted the bin cue whit daemon tools and launched the g.launch and what do i do next i mean how to run a game,
    how to edit the base file to read the virtual cd rom (why not all emulators are as friendly as epsxe )

    This site should help if you want to run the game without having to Mount the Image file:

    http://dmweb.free.fr/DMNDownloads.htm

    I know it's for a different game, but the last few steps of the instructions can still be followed. And you need the game to be in BIN and CUE format. Here's the steps I was talking about:

    QUOTE
    8. Execute the following command line: "gentoc -b dmnexus.cue". This will create a "toc.bin" file required by the emulator, and update the "base.ini" file accordingly.
    9. Open the file "base.ini" in notepad. You have to configure the correct area code: "AREA=4" (this is for US). If there is another value, then the game won't start, and you will only access the Audio CD player of the Sega Saturn.
    10. Run "glaunch.exe". Choose your preferences and then click on the picture at the bottom left of the window to start the emulation.

    But if you want to Run it from the CD, read the file README-DAMMIT.TXT. The instructions should be in there. I think this is the step you were referring to.

    QUOTE
    3. Now edit base.ini, and change DISK1TOC so it points to the toc.bin file
    you just created(you shouldn't need to change this as by default, it's
    toc.bin). And change DISK1IMG so it points to game's image(e.g. bloop.bin).
    Lastly adjust AREA to the region of the game:

    1 = Japan
    2 = Taiwan/Philipines
    4 = US/C
    5 = Brazil
    12 = Europe
    etc.

    I know almost nothing about command lines, but I do know that if you create a shortcut of the .exe file, and add in the command line at the end (example: "gentoc.exe" -b [filename].cue), it will have the same effect as going into the Command Prompt.

    "Some people probably already knew about this coming out, but it's finally come to fruition. Supposedly it's just an upgraded version of GiriGiri... but instead of the low speed crap, it's finally running full speed!"

    "Anybody who reads through the site will know it's not simply for pirating. It's actually sanctioned by Sega. The emulator is free for download, and you can 'rent' games through the site for a certain amount of money."

    The Recommended Specifications are:

    Pentium 4 2GHz
    512 RAM
    64MB VRAM
    DirectSound
    Direct X 8.1

    :ph34r:

    However, this emulator by SEGA has already been cracked and tested, by many.

    Heres how it works:

    Readme of the cracked Emu

    "1. Rip your favorite game using cdrwin(as a raw 2352 byte sector image), put
    both image and cue in the same directory as girigiri saturn.

    OR

    1. Run glaunch.exe with a full pathname(e.g. If you have all the files in
    c:\girigiri, then run the program as c:\girigiri\glaunch). Setup everything
    how you want it, click the big image, then when Girigiri starts, close the
    program(you only have to launch glaunch once). You may also want to adjust
    the AREA option in base.ini to the region of the cd that's in your
    cdrom(see step 3).

    Now just run gsaturn with the "-DISK" switch(e.g. gsaturn -DISK). Make sure
    your saturn game is in your first cdrom(if you have cdrwin handy, just
    check to see which one is first in the list).

    This mode does work(I got it working in Win98 using VirtualPC and on my
    Win2k setup), but it may not(I wasn't able to get it running properly in
    my WinXP setup). Just make sure your aspi drivers are up to date, etc. Skip
    instructions 2-7

    2. run gentoc on the cue file(e.g. gentoc bloop.cue), this should generate
    a file called toc.bin.

    1 = Japan
    2 = Taiwan/Philipines
    4 = US/C
    5 = Brazil
    12 = Europe
    etc.

    4. Now run glaunch.exe with the full pathname. (e.g. If you have all the files
    in c:\girigiri, then run the program as c:\girigiri\glaunch)

    5. In the Launcher, adjust the settings how you want them(it should all be
    pretty straight-forward), then click on the huge image
    ("Click here when you are finished").

    6. Girigiri Saturn should basically start up, and go through all that bios
    spiel like it does on a real saturn.

    7. You only have to run glaunch once. So next time(unless you want to change
    some settings), just run gsaturn with the "-i" switch(e.g. gsaturn -i)

    8. If the game doesn't load, it could be an emulator issue, or perhaps a
    bug in gentoc. You could always try adding your game in games.dat and
    tweaking the settings.

    9. Emulator settings, save ram and backup ram files are all located in
    [your_windows_directory]\profiles\saturn(unless you change USERDIR in
    base.ini to point to a different directory."

    However, there is already a simpler way to do this by using a GiriGiri frontend.

    You can find it at Zophar.net

    Or

    Download from here: http://www.geocities.com/spardasfc/GiriToolv1.1.zip

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Also, when you find the cracked emu, you will notice that there is a "games.dat" file with the emu.

    The one that comes with the emu doesnt support many saturn games.

    Confused? Well, the "games.dat" file is like a compability list, so if you add more games to it, more saturn game become playable.

    So, I uploaded the newest file of it.

    http://www.geocities.com/spardasfc/games.dat.zip

    And There are people still adding more games to it.

    www.emudek.org has always the last "games.dat" file too. B)

    If you have any questions about it, tell me.
    Im ready to help.

    :wave: :wave: :wave:

    Yeah a working Saturn emulator! :woot:

    Hmmm, none of the links seem to work. Is this emu dead? If not does anyone know where to get it now? Well, thanks for your time/help and efforts

    Go to Zophar.net and pick up Cassini.

    Note Cassini is actually not an original emulator, it's just Giri Giri hacked (latest version) which a pair of complete and utter 'tards Barnito/Snail changed the name and claimed they were the programmers.

    Only reason I recommend getting Cassini, is well it's a piece of piss to get hold of (thanks to Zophar's ineptness) and is the latest version of Giri Giri hacked.
