NEO-GEO files not recognized

I've got NEO-Rage Set up, but it's not recognizing the .bin files as valid. What do I do?

Are you talking about Neo-Geo CD games or Rom games ?
If you are talking about Roms then you may just be missing the Neo-Geo Bios Rom

As I have never bothered much with Neo-Geo though and not at all with Neo-Geo CD's I can't be sure but you may also need the Neo-Geo Bios for there CD games aswell

I've got the bios file, the program loads fine, it just doesn't recognize the files.

What bin files are you talking about?

All the Neo-Geo emu's I've used all read *.zip files and not *.bin files at all

Don't extract the zips of the games.

Yeah, I figured that out, but it's still not recognizing them. It's really odd. They are all in Zips. I have the necessary neo-geo.rom, etc. etc. in the main folder and the roms folder. Maybve I have an old version of neo-geo BIOS stuff. Where can I get the latest?

You can try a MAME emulator.

Nope it's not the bios image there is only one anyway.

It should also be zipped up and in the rom folder along with all your games (Each game in it's own zip file)

I'll try and find out what your problem is tomorrow if you are still having problems

As an extra note Roms for MAME are diff to those for other Arcade emu's from time to time (Just to be arkward)

having a similar prob with neorage i set the rom path and it doesnt recognize them being there.

Hmm I'm not 100% sure why this would happen but my only last guess would be that because NeoRage is getting old and without recent update maybe the files are compressed at a rate NeoRage does not recognise, to test that out just unzip one of the games and rezip it using a lighter compression and then see if it works.

or just use Mame32 or something instead
