ps2 dvd region x

i need one of these to play ps2 backups and i was wondering if anyone knew what this was. i've never heard of it. do i have to buy it or is there a play where i can download it?

You have to buy it, and all it allows you to do is watch DVD's from any region. It won't allow you to play backups, so it's not what you're looking for.

of course, all-region dvd playback is a good thing to have. most good modchips seem to offer that + backup running + divx playback.

i'm trying to run the snes station on my ps2. it gets to the screen that says playstation then stops loading. i guess i'll try burning the cd again. anyone know what this problem could be from?

How are you playing copies of any type on your PS2 at the mo?

a mod chip, and the snes station site says you need a modchip to play them.

You don't actually need a mod-chip to play them. I don't have one, and I've been using SNES-Station for quite awhile...

Yeah there isn't any special trick just follow there instructions on the make the CD/DVD, burn and play. (You must have just gone wrong somewere before.)

I used the Action Replay, knife tricks a while back, but a chip should just boot it right up.
