I'm halfway or about halfway through FF2 but decided to take a little break to play a meme zelda 3 hack, I'm up to the 6 boss now and it kicked my ass good I'm not even sure how to damage him so I'll go back to FF2 for now.
2 things have always bugged me about FF 2 the 1st is the way xp gets divided it makes level take so much longer than it should and 2nd casting any spell over lvl 1 takes way too long. the game seemingly punishes you for using magic, that point is driven home by the cost of ethers at 10K a piece.
I really do want to finish this game but I'm getting tempted to cheat.

3 and on wards had better battle systems mainly due to having the ATB gauge it made it much easier to see who's turn is coming and plan better.
I will admit I did like the DQ battle system better due to it's true turn based nature. after finishing 7 on psx I don't know if I can go back to that series besides whatever one I didn't finish on ds.

Yeah, I decided to keep the first Elden Ring character I created even though has male head and female body because he's referred to as a she and it's an old samurai with a beard so you can't see under the armor which so I chose the best body type. I had to choose not having a visual cue so samurai is the best chick with a dick.
