Grabbed the Master Chief collection for shits and giggles. Only ever beaten the first Halo on PC ages ago. Pretty neat though, for the first game the graphics are updated and you can hit select anytime in game to switch to the original graphics and back. Quite the difference. Started with the first game because why not? Still fun.

It'll be too late to stop governments from taking away our games if we don't protest shrinks calling us diseased before politicians pass anti-gaming laws under the auspices of public health.

I posted about this a few replies or so back. The WHO is a joke. There was that 2011 case that did declare video games protected as free speech/expression under the First Amendment.

The WHO joke is global in scope and bypasses one country's Constitution, I'm concerned for gamers internationally and a dystopian anti-gaming global society ruled by crazy shrinks and insane politicians is sprouting up.

Pokemon Go is fun but highly dangerous. You might win a Darwin Award very easily if you're not careful enough. You might get shot by homeowners not knowing why you're stalking their property. You might get shot by police if someone calls them because you're suspicious, some shoot first and ask questions later confusing a phone for a gun. Dogs roam loose around their home and might maul you by surprise while you're distracted. Muggers hang out at Pokestops and gyms. People might think you're a pedophile and shoot you. Etc...

I play it safely because no Pokemon is worth death or jail time. But, it's definitely not for kids without adult supervision.

Pokemon was hella fun when it first hit. I'll always remember seeing a lured set of Pokestop's in the middle of a nearby graveyard at night, wandering past, discovering at least a dozen kids all standing around in the dark, separately. Not talking to each other at all. One kid had his parents with him, also playing themselves. I caught a few Pokemon and walked off to hit a few more Pokestops without saying a word to all those kids in the dark.

wasn't the whole point of that game social? how is that being social? it reminds me of something I read years ago "anti-social socializing"

Absolutely not. Maybe that's how they marketed it, but I walked into crowds of 50+ people who were all just looking at their screens. The best point of the game was that it gave you a reason to go for a walk. Like I could just walk point A to B like I'd normally do, but if I just added 6 blocks to that walk I'd find some more Pokestops and a gym, and be mildly entertained.
