    Default PCE-CD "firmwares" for BizHawk

None of the PC-CD syscards included with Magic Engine work with Bizhawk. I have no idea which one it wants. Any clues?

Use real bios images then instead of the emulated ones that are available to Magic Engine that do not work with everything or did not the last time I looked at Magic Engine that was some years back now

I am out of date with Magic Engine so check out the readme or other documentation it comes with, it should tell you how to setup real bios images

Best to start with last one then work your way back over

EDIT Moved from Everything Console that is for actual Console owners (including emulation on those systems just not of them) to Everything Emulation that is for emulating systems via a PC

I switched to using mednafen. BizHawk is for TAS vids, apparently.

The Mednafen cores in Retroarch are better in my opinion, just not the SNES and GBA Mednafen cores.

Bizhawk is indeed made for TAS.

THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
