Default Getting Famicom Zelda games to work on PSP

    Hello.

I'm looking for a way to play the Japanese versions of Zelda no Densetsu and Link no Bōken on my PSP system.

I've already tried out NesterJ both versions AoEX R3 and 2A, but they won't start the games. I've also tried something called InfoNES R03 but it would cause a black screen, followed by the console powering off with a clicking sound (hope it did not do any harm to the hardware).

Why is it not working? Is it because they are Famicom games and not NES?
How can I get the games to work? Should I use a different version of the emulator? Or is there another emulator where the games are confirmed to be working?

    I'm owning a Slim 2004 PSP model, CFW version is 6.60 PRO-B9.

The games were downloaded from here and here (Emuparadise).

    Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Just noticed there is a 1.0 and 1.1 version of each of the games. What's the difference?

NES roms are dumps of the rom chip of a Carts

Famicom disks are dumps of floppy disks, saved data is also stored on that floppy instead of a ram chip or battery storage.. whatever the cart version of the game used

They are not the same though, no

I was sure Famicom disks are emulated though on the PSP and possibly with some of the ones you have already used but they will not run the same way as a rom chip dump does

At a guess though you simply do not have the Famicam disk system rom setup, possibly not even downloaded

For FDS you need to have the correct system files.
I suspect NesterJ has incorrect FDS files included. I read on Wololo a while back (I think it might have even been posted by MadZionist who is also here) that the R3 version has the correct files.

    Here we go:

    But as MadZionist notes:
It's likely that it's that particular ROM. This Emu (like every Emu) doesn't have 100% compatibility.

So FDS games may not work anyway

    Spoiler warning:
